From the character art I have seen, the figure does indeed do a great job in capturing his look, including his Decepticon insignia face. He is a Voyager class figure based on his IDW character design. If anything, more people recently have heard of Tarn due to his appearance as the final villain in the Transformers Cyberverse animated series. I personally didn't read any of the comics nor have a strong connection to him. The packaging says "Comic Universe", so I guess Hasbro can't say IDW anymore. I can post an actual review of Tarn as well. His hands are vertically over each other. Alt mode is the weaker of the two modes and would've been OK if it wasn't for the exposed hands (not shown in this view). His right foot here is not level on the ground due to the limited ankle tilt.Ĭustom blast effects (NFS) used here. Tarn's posing would be off the charts if it wasn't for a few quirks. There is tasteful use of clear plastic in this figure. The backpack is very slim if the accessories are not attached to the back.
He has forward and backwards ankle tilts. Posing is otherwise excellent outside of the sideways ankle tilts. The waist rotation is also limited due to the backpack unplugging the backpack is a work-around for that.

The ankle tilt is limited compared to other figures. Leo Prime also has that issue but is at least partially covered up. The exposed hands in alt mode is just inexcusable at this point.

Tarn came ever so close to being an absolute top tier figure if it wasn't for some (annoying) quirks.
